The object of our researches is to pursue the sustainable fruit growing with an emphasis on healthy and high quality fruit production. We conduct studies both on the potential use of mycorrhizal fungi in orchards and on ecophysiological mechanisms in plant-fungus symbiotic associations. Our other important projects are directed toward the manifold uses of fruit trees, such as the production of bio-ethylene and bio-ethanol using dead grape leaves and tree planting using indigenous fruit trees in east Africa.
